While summer may have “unofficially” started for most of us, it’s just a few days away! It’s time for long days at the pool, backyard barbeques, weekends on the lake, and sunny summer vacations. Clear vision without glasses or contacts will always be more convenient than having to remember to put your contacts in or wearing those bulky glasses on your face. But, picture this…
You’ve spent weeks planning your family’s summer vacation to the beach. The kids are excited and awake at the crack of dawn to head down to the sand, white-capped waves, and sunny rays. (Unfortunately, you can’t see the kids until you put your contacts in!) After getting up and going, you make your way down to the beach. Ahh, finally!
Summertime is the perfect time for LASIK!
You spray the kids with sunscreen and you head straight for the waves. The water is perfect! The kids splashing and laughing distracts you, and you don’t notice the massive wave that knocks you over and under the water. But, you can’t complain! I mean, after all, you’re on summer vacation at the beach! But wait. Something’s missing…
That massive wave caused you to lose your contacts. There’s no chance of finding them now, they’re one of the endless lost items of the ocean. “No big deal,” you think, “My glasses are in the beach bag!” You jog up to your bag and search for your glasses. Unfortunately, they weren’t in the case, so all the beach toys crushed them. Bummer.
